Beauty of Mundane Life. MYYS is a candle studio based in Karjaa, Finland, founded in 2020. We create candles we want to use every day—simple and essential for home. Timeless for everyday use. Each candle is crafted with care, focusing on quality and essential design that blends seamlessly into the home.
Our candles are made to highlight the beauty in ordinary moments, adding just the right amount of extra to make ordinary moments a little bit more special. Whether enjoyed during quiet evenings, shared dinners, or moments of reflection. MYYS candles bring a subtle yet meaningful presence that turns the everyday into something memorable.
MYYS is a word play of Swedish word mysigt which means cozy and snug — a feeling we hope to share with you at home. It is the warmth of a quiet moment, the comfort of familiar surroundings, the ease of simply being. Through thoughtful design and a deep appreciation for everyday life, our candles create space to slow down, notice, and truly feel at home.
Our logo is drawn from the actual window of our studio — a simple wooden frame, rectangular and unadorned. Through it, we see a small group of trees and the quiet rhythm of nature: a peaceful, familiar view that reminds us to slow down, to notice the light, the seasons, and the small things that make each day meaningful. This window reflects what we value most — calm, simplicity, and the quiet beauty of everyday life. It invites light in and offers a view out, becoming a quiet symbol of clarity, openness, and grounded living. Like a window, we frame what matters, cut through the noise, and reconnect with the beauty in what’s already here.
Our raw materials are sourced from Finland and across Europe, carefully handpicked for their quality and durability. Every scent is self-formulated, layer by layer, to ensure balance and character. In our studio, each candle is developed and crafted with natural oils, fine fragrances, and vegetable waxes. Hand-poured in small batches, every candle is presented in a reusable glass container and finished with a hand-applied label.
